Alaska Dogs: Tula, Maddie, and Brewster - 16 x 48

DOG STORY- Tula, Maddie, and Brewster
Three dogs- two small one big, all part of the same family living together in Anchorage, Alaska. Tula, the dark Llaso Apsa, is a flyball champ, agility expert, and therapy dog for autistic children. She is the athlete and the "little darling". Maddie, the white fluff ball, keeps constant vigilance and considers herself the gang leader. She is the "guardian". Brewster, the giant Aussie, is the grumpy old man. Brewster keeps a detached distance from the small dogs, although Tula tries vainly to engage him in games, and Maddie keeps a watch on his behavior and snaps at his back end when he walks by as a reminder of who's the boss. Both are completely ignored by Brewster, the "big thug".
The dogs and humans take walks everyday, which can be challenging when living in Anchorage. Once winter sets in, all must dress for the conditions, with booties for all and jackets for the small ones. Walks are often in the dark during those short winter daylight hours. Moose are always a potential problem as well. Moose walk around like pedestrians in urban Anchorage, can easily jump a six foot fence, and lounge in yards and parks. An encounter with a moose can be deadly for dogs and humans both. So before heading out, KC must always do a moose check and give a clear to go signal- then Maddie concurs.
(Another pet, the family boat, lies anchored in the background. Everyone likes to go fishing!)
