Raisin at Home on the Range- 16 x 48

DOG STORY- Raisin
Raisin was a young dog during the time when "101 Dalmations" was in the theaters. A victim of a fashion trend that peaked and passed, she was dumped in rural Illinois to fend for herself. She was eventually picked up by animal control, full of tics and starving. She was on death row but was saved by a Chicago vet who ended up finding her a forever home with a client whose dog had recently passed. She now lives part time in Dubois, Wyoming, one of the most beautiful places on earth. She runs free, though her favorite spot is wherever the humans are, preferably on the back deck. She did however, once disappear for an hour and come home with her belly torn up badly. She nearly didn't survive. The vet concluded that she'd had an encounter with a moose, who kicked her to her back and thrashed her belly with it's hooves. We are hoping for no further moose, or even scarier, Grizzly Bear encounters in the future.
When Raisin runs through the sagebrush with wild abandon, she is a spotted gizelle with hanging tongue and a crazy, blissed-out face. She is sweet and affectionate, and she smells nice too with her self-applied sagebrush perfume.
